Dear Editor of GraniteBay.com
I am a high school student at Granite Bay High School. Cheap entertainment is hard to come by. As we all know, our community has a very high, no pun intended, drug and alcohol use rate, and it is nice to bring another constructive hobby for the whole community to access. Lately, my friends and I have been finding alternative things to do. One of the things being fishing. The spot we have been going to, Quarry Ponds, is open to the public. The issue I have been having is accessing the good fishing spots which happen to be crowded by brush. All I am asking for is the ability to prune a few bushes and small tree limbs without harming the local plant environment. Also, I would like to note that all of the fish caught out of Quarry Ponds are on a catch and release basis, so there is now harm to the fish population.
Sincerely,
P.T., Granite Bay community member.
