Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this proposal. The information I have about this proposal is only that from the story in the Roseville Tribune; so my understanding of it may be incomplete. Having said that I must raise my voice in opposition to any utilization of the proposed location that would cost the lives of 400 trees, or further reduce the riparian habitat representative of that site.
The proponents of this project cannot be serious about this! Can they? I can appreciate the need that the owners of that property have to realize some income from the property, but is it not possible that such a creative and novel use such as is proposed is not able to also incorporate the existing flora in their plan?
he additional roof surface and pavement will add to our local heat load and rain runoff. Hopefully the roof top will be of a heat reflective color and the pavement will be of pavers designed to allow the rain water to be absorbed into the ground. The newly constructed administrative offices of the Catholic Church is bad enough and should not have been allowed at all, but what makes that new feature to Granite Bay even more of a scar is that it is obviously not consistent with our rural and riparian environment. At least this condo garage project is being proposed for a commercially zoned location.
All told however, it is unconscionable to allow for the destruction of so many trees in pursuit of storage of stuff.
